What do you think Heaven is if it existed?
Is it really that great if it existed?
Would it be better if you just died and stop existing or exist somewhere/somehow for all eternity?

If it does exist, it must some ginormous size to accommodate all living beings from the early cavemen, to present day.

There are Fairies at the bottom of my garden.

Do you realise that Earth is only a tiny planet and a tiny speck in the Universe?
There are Galaxis upon Galaxis that we don't yet know about. Astronomers are finding new stars and planets all the time as their equipment modernises and becomes more powerful.
We are insignificant in comparison.
Erica
And you may be surprised to find one day that those fairies are real.

i don't care to speculate what Heaven would be for me, only the creator knows what to create for their children, Heaven does exist, i know this, God exists, I must know this, and i must know that God gave his only son, Jesus, to lay down his life so we could get there. God loves us that much.
Is it really that great if it existed?
Yes, oh yes.. I believe it would have to be, The best this world, and life has to offer, taking away all the bad things in this life we have to endure, and in their place filling with more of the good things we have in this life,, would only be a small measure of what Heaven has to offer. So wonderfull of a place, or existence, the human mind could never imagine, a place so great, we must shed ourselves, our body and things, taking only our soul.
Would it be better if you just died and stop existing or exist somewhere/somehow for all eternity?
thats something you have to decide for yourself Bob, everybody has to decide it for themselves, God's requirements are not impossible to meet, I don't believe God would put restrictions on us that were unjust and unatainable. I don't believe or fully understand everything in the bible, or everything said in a church, but I do have the faith part down. I wan't Jesus, the greatest man who ever lived on this world to be with me here in life, and to guide me from now on into the afterlife.
Jesus provided the perfect example of how one should live, I try to think about that often, and to let that example take presidence over all other examples. I don't think about doing what others did to gain wealth, or status in this limited life, I think about doing what Jesus did, or similar to gain something far greater. I won't do those things to post in here and brag about what a good person i am, i do it to gain favor with Jesus and God, that's my soul motivation, It's motivation for my soul. But that's me, you Bob, have to make your own choice, God won't force this on anyone.

I'll go if Elvis is there, but although he was very religious, he was also a bad boy. So, is he there?

They had to come up with something as mortal man couldn't believe why they had to go through so much pain
anguish, disappointments, etc if there was a god.
By stating that there is a heaven those who follow a religion have a "future" to look forward to,(the rest of us
know that there is no "after" life so don't worry about the pain and such as it's just part of being human).
For some religions it's the promise of a better "after" life that has some of their followers committing crimes
against the rest of humanity,(so to that religion it serves another purpose).

I have no idea about heaven, rather not spend my life thinking about what happens when I'm dead. Life itself can present like heaven or hell sometimes. Depends on the choices one makes in life. Is it choices or is it fate/destiny? Different topic I guess...
Imo that quote from Joanie is really quite profound, especially the bolded bit. It explains why some people generally "need" religion in their lives.
Just a question -bit off topic, but I know there are quite a few athiests on here- and it's a serious question, not intended to attack anyone on an interpersonal level or anything like that.
Would this statement be correct? "As an athiest I dont believe that humans have a soul"
