What would Australia/Gondwana be like today if it had not been colonised by Britain?
Who would have colonised this country? The Dutch? The French? The Portuguese Or maybe Indonesia? or?
What would it be like under one of these other countries
What would Gondwana be like if it hadnt been colonised?

I know this is going to be unpopular, but .... what would Australia be like now, if the Japanese had won the war and colonised Australia?

I said that I hadn't been to any areas in northern Australia (that means the continent of Australia)
If you drew a line from Brisbane to Adelaide, I haven't been north (or west) of that line within Australia.
Therefore, I haven't been to any areas in northern Australia.

Because Australia has the lowest average elevation of all the continents diversion and accumulation of water in the
centre dry regions is physically impossible.
Harold Hastings Deering was able to show however that the "drought proofing" of some areas that were originally arid
was possible.
His "experimental" cattle station at Palmer Valley near the Macdonnell ranges was borne in the 1950's through
creative manipulation by thinking outside of the square.
His access to large machinery and his philanthropic nature ( as evidenced by his will ) was central to the 'experiments'
success

Hastings Deering was an interesting Australian to say the least. A scan below from my collection. Hastings Deering published the "Australian Ford News" much to the chagrin of the parent Ford Motor Company

If Australia hadn't been colonised by Britain.....Indigenous Australians may have lived on as they did and permitted who they choose to enter their Country .
If not the indigenous and their Country may have been 'TAKEN' by force by some other Country .....regardless of which Country did that
The Action of TAKING and taking over is wrong .

I like the Japanese people, they are a fine race and can't be judged today, on historical actions, just like many other countries can't.
The Brits aren't lily white in any circumstances.
