Re: Whats for Dinner Thead

We have our main meal at lunchtime, today's will be chicken schnitzel with a variety of salads. Fruit salad and yogurt or custard or ice cream for afters. It won't be for a while, 'cause we had bacon n eggs rolls for brunch, so it's going to be more like Linner

I miss the cans of Braised Steak and Onions from years ago.

The stuff they sell today is too liquidy - more like a soup. Smiley Sad

I used to make a two person meal that among the few ingredients, required the smallest Braised Steak and Onions can.  It was delicious.  I miss it so much that I am going to buy a Tom Piper tin and save it in portions and hopefully one of those portions will work to recreate the dish.

I came across a FB site once that was asking to bring back the Braised Steak and Onions. ๐Ÿ™‚

The next time someone tells you that you can't cook pasta without adding salt to the water, you can take their advice with a grain of salt... ha ha...

I never use salt full stop.
The only times I've bought salt is for salt baths after surgery, twice in my whole life
I couldn't even stand it on my hot chips back when I ate them
Can only handle it on nuts and I have to cut the corner of the packet making a tiny hole in the and shake as much of the salt out as can be removed
