Re: Whats for Dinner Thead

I use salt but hubs doesnt, apart from when he has hot chips, so unless I am preserving something that calls for salt, I never put in any of my cooking

Years ago I went to Fasta Pasta in Mt Gambier
Turns out that I wasn't feeling like pasta when it came to it so had a steak and it had chips with
There was salt on the table but the chips were already covered in chicken salt which I absolutely detest and the chef was most upset when I sent the meal back asking for chips with no salt and all of the staff came out of the kitchen to glare at me
Have never been back to thay Fasta Pasta again

Re: Whats for Dinner Thead

I always ask for NO salt on hot chips ( not that I buy them often ), I prefer to add my own   ........ Hate chicken salt with a passion, it's full of MSG and god knows what else

I never been to Fasta Pasta, apparently hubs ate there a few times, many yrs ago, he said the food was good but he only ever had the pasta dishes. We rarely eat out or buy take away food, much prefer lour own home cooking  ..... Not that there is much option in this town lol

Whats for dinner ?

Not Maccas anyway. I came home very late from our remote farm last night and went to our local Maccas for a bite to eat. With a large trailer behind the ute, the drive through wasnt an option so I went inside.

The menu board above the front counter has been replaced with a flashing yellow sign advising customers to go to the " kiosk " to see the selections. The Kiosk being those electronic touch screens adorning the walls. I waited patiently as the staff ran this way and that, but no counter service. The screens where beeping loudly, the chip fryer was beeping loudly, the yellow sign was flashing and the understaffed workers where rushing by as if I was invisible.

In the end I gave up and drove down the road to KFC

Spoiler
While wondering how the poor staff ever put up with all of that sensory overload

.

Rumour has it Maccas Australia wide is not going to provide counter service any more. Its all drive through and if you enter the building, order from the self serve touch screen Kiosks . If last night was any example of whats to come they have lost one late night customer.
