When does the Coalition promise to have the budget back in surplus ?

Here's the new promise: "Within a decade, the budget surplus will be 1 per cent of GDP." The Coalition is only willing to guarantee a budget surplus by 2023.

yes...if you can't afford a baby don't have one that requires that much spent on it?

So, basically, it's a promise to fix everything that is wrong with the country.

Fully costed, fully paid for, will be independantly verified.

No promises like the labor hollow promises, the coalition has promised ASAP but due to the catastrophe we are facing (labor made ) it may take a decade.

oh yes, the budget emergency so dire that he plans to spend billions on wealthy babies . odd, but i find a contradiction there Smiley LOL

Millions on wealthy babies, sorry I was of the understanding it was money paid to mothers taking parental leave Woman Surprised

LL do you know the number of women who earn above $150000 who will become pregnant and take PPL and get the $75000, I think you will find it is such a small minority of the work force it will be indistinguishable.

Scare tactics by a desperate party which is now bolstering up seats they are gtrying to hang onto instead of trying to win some from the opposition.

LL, I am not a lover of TA but I do believe the policies of the coalition are overall more sound and needed at this time to get our wonderful country back on its feet and out of deficit.

I run my own business and I cannot run it at a loss which is what is happening under labor, it is not sustainable and you cannot keep borrowing money unless you can make the repayments, Australias interest repayments are out of control and hard decisions must be made, this is labors legacy to us the tax payer and it cannot continue.

Keep it nice, I might cry if you write anything upsetting (like not)

Re: When does the Coalition promise to have the budget back in surplus ?

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has confirmed categorically โ€“ for the first time โ€“ that he would break the Coalition's pledge on greenhouse reduction targets if it cost more money than he had budgeted for.

another thing abbott's slipped in today, perhaps weazel thought nobody would notice.

how many things is that, abbrott changed his mind on now

I did not say governments should run at a profit BUT it must have a surplus to be able to have the money to spend on what is needed such as roads, infastructure etc.as well as many other things

It cannot continue to borrow, borrow, borrow without paying it back LIKE all businesses, the interest factor alone is enormous and MUST be paid back at some time. Like digging the big black hole they have been talking about, gets deeper and deeper and has to be filled eventually.

newstart, how do you want Australian tax payers to help you with the costs of running your business ?

what will each party do that will help you as a business owner ?

and have you thought about consulting someone to see what you can do and/or to determine if your business is viable or viable as it is now without changing it in some way?
