There's really only two ways it can end.

Either - one of the nuclear-armed nations, Israel, Russia, US, India, will lose it and drop a nuclear bomb, eventually extinguishing all human and animal life on the planet.

Or warring nations will wake up to themselves, come to an agreement similar to the Westphlian treaty, where each nation is sovereign and will work together with it's neighbouring nations in trade and in the interest of each other for peace and prosperity.
