The numbers and the graphs on how we are going and it seems to be on a downward trend for new cases so

hopefully we don't get to many new cases brought on by further idiocy and people that just wont listen.stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

We are definitely surviving better than those countries in the winter northern hemisphere but now the seasons are changing and flu season encroching - while thankfully the curve is flattening we must become more strict in order to live through winter time without a resurgence

Medically dictated quarantine must be totally enforced as is not at this time with almost a third breaking quarantine

Customer service people must wear masks

Children must be tested

I have only been out once in the past 10 days and the staff at the veg shop wore masks plus they were behind persplex.

There is no point testing everybody; there is not enough tests; and in any case once people are isolated for 2 weeks they are safe.  So what would be the point of testing?  They would be negative, but the moment they walked out and mingled with others they could get it.  So unless you keep testing everybody every few days ............   Just not practical, and anyway, unless there is a vaccine we are pretty much all going to get it, however if the curve is flat and well within the hospital capacity, most of us will survive as the worst cases get put on ventilators.  There will also be medication that will be found helpful.  As long as he companies who own the patents will not be greedy and hike up their price to something ridiculous.  There is some suggestion that manufacturers of Remidasvir , which is promising, are one of the companies that only care about money.

i really dont rekon putting stuff out, even if its true, saying we could be in lock down for 2 years is a good idea.

people will panic, more than they allready are.

as long as we all believe this is temporary things will be civil, i think.

So wonder what's happened to it?

This is from India on March 20th who are treating the virus as a general flu:

In India, according to ICMR, patients are recovering symptomatically, ie., without getting administered any medication.

On Monday, the total number of Covid-19 positive patients in India went up to 114. The government also added new testing labs, taking the total count of testing labs to 71.

In Kerala, which has been aggressively tracking and treating people with the disease, the government has revised its testing guidelines. According to the state’s director of health services, 70-80% of the population affected will develop only mild symptoms not requiring hospitalisation. “Just like any infection, Covid-19 will also resolve itself in majority of patients,” the official guideline from the government said.

The state has asked patients with mild symptoms (low-grade fever, mild symptoms, sore throat, diarrhoea) not to come to the hospital to get tested. However, patients with breathlessness, chest pain, fall in blood pressure, and respiratory distress fall under categories two and three and need tests.

If this is how they are going to treat it then it will be a whole lot worse then the US as they will have infected people walking around infecting others.Angry head bang.gif

Sydney saved from total embargo by an almost miraculous turnaround in new "notifications" detected confirmed cases

https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/diseases/Pages/covid-19-latest.aspx

John Hopkins Uni & research resource center notes total a woeful 16/4 so maybe the infection rate has been so quick until now

Whereas for some reason Melbourne 8/573 ( deceased/recoveries )
