The numbers and the graphs on how we are going and it seems to be on a downward trend for new cases so
hopefully we don't get to many new cases brought on by further idiocy and people that just wont listen.

i may not agree with scomos politics or everything hes done since this began but hes been doing a better than fair job under difficult circumstances.
its not like he has any past experiences to draw on. beyond the GFC which although bad did not stop anyone working or kill anyone directly (the pink batts saga not counted)
our health professionals both paid and voluntary deserve medals for putting themselves on the front line as do all the others like people working at woolies ect.
You are right, we are lucky we do not have anybody near Trump. But that does not mean they did not make some idiotic decisions; there should have been more controls of people coming to Australia, foreigners or people returning from o/s. I watched as the situation in the USA was developing and could not understand why on earth were restrictions put on all other countries but not America, even at times when it was becoming obvious that vast majority of our imported cases come from there. People are criticizing China for decisions they made in December, when they had no death and only few sick, yet our government ignored the obvious. Then the Ruby Princess fiasco.............
They also introduced schemes, which will be great for some and disasters for others. Some people will get $1500/fortnight, and some nothing except dole, maybe. This is a government who kept saying that Australia cannot afford to lift the dole by $70 a week. They should have made it simple, up the dole, and just give it to all those who lost their income, but do it now, not weeks down the trek.

So wonder what's happened to it?
This is from India on March 20th who are treating the virus as a general flu:In India, according to ICMR, patients are recovering symptomatically, ie., without getting administered any medication.
On Monday, the total number of Covid-19 positive patients in India went up to 114. The government also added new testing labs, taking the total count of testing labs to 71.In Kerala, which has been aggressively tracking and treating people with the disease, the government has revised its testing guidelines. According to the state’s director of health services, 70-80% of the population affected will develop only mild symptoms not requiring hospitalisation. “Just like any infection, Covid-19 will also resolve itself in majority of patients,” the official guideline from the government said. The state has asked patients with mild symptoms (low-grade fever, mild symptoms, sore throat, diarrhoea) not to come to the hospital to get tested. However, patients with breathlessness, chest pain, fall in blood pressure, and respiratory distress fall under categories two and three and need tests. If this is how they are going to treat it then it will be a whole lot worse then the US as they will have infected people walking around infecting others.
Maybe fifty two card pickup will work for them , but judging by many workers who are frantically leaving for their home villiges...

Children must be tested
I have only been out once in the past 10 days and the staff at the veg shop wore masks plus they were behind persplex.
There is no point testing everybody; there is not enough tests; and in any case once people are isolated for 2 weeks they are safe. So what would be the point of testing? They would be negative, but the moment they walked out and mingled with others they could get it. So unless you keep testing everybody every few days ............ Just not practical, and anyway, unless there is a vaccine we are pretty much all going to get it, however if the curve is flat and well within the hospital capacity, most of us will survive as the worst cases get put on ventilators. There will also be medication that will be found helpful. As long as he companies who own the patents will not be greedy and hike up their price to something ridiculous. There is some suggestion that manufacturers of Remidasvir , which is promising, are one of the companies that only care about money.
I read somewhere but not from the manufacturers site that the asking price will be about $1,000 a pop

Don't forget India's population is much younger and vigorous than ours and has been exposed to a much higher rate of disease than our Western countries, so it's only natural they're not panicked as much we are.
Lot of people in India are poor, uneducated and have no access to information. Once COVID 19 takes hold it will spread like wildfire. Lot of people will die without ever reaching hospital. Others will starve as businesses close and the workers are just turfed on the street without money or roof over thei head. I doubt these people are particularly vigorous.
More ppl starved to death under the British Raj (millions) than will ever die from Covid 19.
I think you'd be surprised that modern India is quite prosperous and it's people are very well educated. Probably better than ours.
They do have a lot of nous and catch on very quick - i wish i had their short term memory retention capacity and the food style is so choice !

Even the Brits were under-reporting , same with the Italians and you know who.. and made a major accounting adjustment mid-crisis - is a matter of accounting , must read beween the lines
I have heard rumours about shootings as mitigation actions againgst quarantine breakers- maybe just near misses
