Unfortunately I've suffered the most hideous of haircut so I've decided to buy a wig to wear until my appalling haircut grows out into something that doesn't resemble a weird spiked pixie cut. (Even my dearest friend stood staring with her mouth open at the monstrosity on my head).
There seems to be an enormous range of wigs available online, but I've already come across a couple of dodgy websites (pretending to be in Australia but they are actually based in china). I've read literally hundreds of complaints about one particular site, where the picture is of a beautiful flowing wig and they receive something that looks like sewn together animal hair! I've bought a couple of cheapie wigs via ebay just for normal day to day, but would like a nice one to wear out.
Would love to hear from anyone who has successfully purchased a good realistic wig from a reputable company. I'm probably looking for the lace front monotop synthetics as their retain their style after washing, and the human hair wigs are a bit out of my price range.
Thanks! 🙂

Good luck with it, you know what they say there is six weeks between a good and a bad hair cut.
Time will go fast.

It will be more like 6 months I think :_|
This is similar to the haircut I have now: http://www.creativewigs.com.au/store/product/rosie
This one is like my hair before the cut, and is the wig that I ordered:

How similar to that first wig is your hair cut because I think that looks great.
Maybe you just need to get used to the short length after having long hair.

That wig is very attractive shopping trolley and you will feel a new person.
About 3 years ago I had a disastrous hair cut so bought a wig - it could
have been at Creative Wigs I don't remember, - but instead of going around
feeling awful with the haircut it gave me a real boost to my confidence.
Well worth it.

The wig you bought looks great. I think the pixie cut wig is nice too. Although I understand your shock when you got your haircut that short, when you didn't want it cut like that.

You could buy this one. Might stretch your neck too :^O
Don't buy that, you might turn into a giraffe.

I actually went to the turban website and there are beautiful wigs there too... every colour and length and very reasonable prices.
I ended up buying about four items and only paid $9.95 for bulk shipping to oz.
My mum has cancer and has developed a bald spot... so I thought she may be interested in these items.
At least you are not going bald, thats even worse 🙂

I have quite thin hair on the top of my head, will probably go bald there eventually as it runs in the family.
To those who asked how similar my hair looked to the pixie cut photo - quite similar, but I have totally the wrong face shape to pull it off, thinning hair and a gigantic forehead!!
