If you answer yes, that means you were beating them
If you answer no, that means you still are beating them

Starving children.
Of course.........but what if.......
the starving children are over in a third world country and the animal being abused is right next door to you ?
Do you not save the one you can ?
In which case the abused animal is worse because you can see it and have the power to prevent it...........as to the starving children, where in God's name do you start ?

I hear taking a photo of a vulture lurking waiting for them to die as they lay suffering in the dirt is the way to go....

I hear you pepe
but I was actually (I know, unusual for me) being serious..there are funds and organisations to help these children, but no one really knows if any of the funds or support reaches the one's who need it.
The ads look great, and I am sure the sponsors of these children truly believe they are indeed helping, all the right idea's, but that is TV, who the hell knows what really reaches those in true need.
And as much as I feel for the children overseas, (for children everywhere) we have our own people here, family's and thier children struggling, food on the table may mean no power next month coz they can't afford both, children not being educated because they live too far away from schools and can no more afford 'school of the air' than they can afford shoes!
Guess what guys, we have our needy as well, and I am a big believer in Charity starts at home.
Let's fix our own problems before we try to fix someone elses.

Bob did say one answer only.
But whatever way you look at it, starving children will ALWAYS be more important than abused animals regardless of where they are in the world.

OOP's - but as usual Bob's questions rarely rate just a one answer reply...
So okay AGREED Children come first
but if I see an animal being abused I ain't turning my back on it to go look for a starving child, I am going to help that animal.
.......the second part was an observation not an answer LOL
