Who are these scientists?

Who are the 75 Australian 'scientists and professionals' who say there is no climate emergency?

willing to put their names on a document but go into hiding if anyone 'looks them up'

if they really believe in their version of climate change come out and explain it to me.

The Islands in the Pacific are being regularly inundated but the water isn't getting any higher around Australia that's amazing.
Funny how the Birkenhead tavern in Port Adelaide keeps getting inundated during high tides more often though

Suggest you wear your floaties whilst visiting there...

i listened to a guy talking about sea levels and how they are rising in some areas and not others

it was a theory that the earth spining means the extra water is drawn to the equator line and thats why you see areas along that line having more problems than places further north and south.

sounds feasable to me.

There are many variables that can result in isolated areas of inundation.  I don't think climate change is conspiring against the Birkenhead  Tavern.  But then again I might be able to find a scientific expert to state otherwize.

If you look at the satellite picture you'll see the sea wall that's been built to try and stop the constant inundation

How long ago was the seawall built?

Why does it matter, what their names are.   They may be right or not.  How many  alarmist predictions have failed to eventuate, then we are advised Ah it is not an exact science, there are so many variables  etc, etc.

I went to the local wharf last week,  The water was still where it was 50yrs ago.  I also visited approx 20 Boat ramps last month,

most over 50 yrs old, not one of them has had to be extended.

PS.  I believe the climate is changing

Oh almost  forgot,  for the last 30yrs I have crossed over a tidal creek daily, via a Bridge that is over 100yrs old.  Now I dont get the tape measure out, but there has been no visible difference in the tidal extent.

If the sea level is rising, why would the water go aw2ay? Or the boat ramps need extending?

Billions of tonnes of ice melting into the sea might ameliorate sea level rises in the short term as water expands with heat and the ice will cool it down for a while. Until it melts. But medium term, more water in the sea means the sea level will be higher. That is not open to opinion; it's simple physics.

What,  not when I went to school it didn't.

What didn't? All liquids expand when heated. Water expands even more when it solidifies, unlike most other liquids, but while it's a liquid it acts like a liquid.

You should have gone to a school that taught science. Or, put a warm plastic bottle of water in the fridge. Check a few hours later. The bottle will be crumpled. Due to the contraction of the contents as heat reduces. Simple, practical, easy to test physics.

Icy seems to like playing devil's advocate. Whatever position somebody she doesn't like takes (which is pretty much everybody), she will take the opposite view. Although it generally consists of ingenuous questions. We all know what that is a hallmark of.
