I had to sit there for hours too.
Apparently my dad sometimes resorted to putting vegetables (any vegetetables because I wouldnt eat any) in my mouth and blocking my nose so I had to swallow....lol, he'd be up on child abuse charges nowadays.
Holding your nose is also said to stop you tasting, total rubbish - the Brussel is too evil for that old ploy.

I wish I did like them, because they are so good for you, I can't eat celery either unless the taste of it is well hidden and celery is such a great diuretic

I love love love them..............they are my favourite veggie.
I sometimes cook a big pot of them for tea and eat them with cheese sauce over the top.
When I eat them like that the rest of my family look at me like my head has started spinning...............

lol, it didnt trauatise me too much, I dont even remember it. It didnt make me like my vegetables either though, I still avoid eating them if I can help it. Not big on fruit either.
