Spakfilla or Botox; Mid Brown or Mahogany - I think I'll just remove the mirrors.

Freshwater beach, your house sounds lovely.
I wish I had this piece of advice before we started Do not compromise ....you will regret it down the track.
I allowed two years for this place. That was two years and 3 months ago. There is not one room in the house which is completely finished. I wish I could have afforded an interior designer because I am still so undecided with wall colours, and Martini, you still haven't told me which color to paint the outside of my house.
What really worries me now is, I don't see all the unfinished stuff anymore. I have become blind to it.

Yep, I'm hearing you!
What annoys me, is thing like unpainted skirtings get dirtier than painted ones and I think to myself I'll clean them off on the weekend when I fill those nail holes ready for the paint....never happens. Even when I clean, the place doesnt look clean, the unfinishedness makes it look untidy and dirty even when its not.
Even now, I'm sitting here looking at my office door which was painted, but then needed planing and it has one raw edge....what is wrong with me....why havent I painted it? I guess I've just learned to live with it.

Go with the purple skwerl !!! or it probably has a pretty name like Lavender mist or sumfin lol
I think a lavender colour would look peaceful/serene.....and when you get frustrated looking at all the unfinished bits you could sit outside under a tree and look at the house in all its lavender calmness........Ommmmmm

It may all come down to: what is really important?
All we need is a roof over our head, a warm bed, food in our tummy and loving people around us (and a sense of humour and a computer to tell us of your thoughts)

That may be true lloyds but when you spend a lot of time in your unfinished home, looking at all the things you "should/could" be doing but suffer from the can't be stuffeds........it can be depressing which in turn brings on a more severe case of can't be stuffeds and on the cycle goes.
Wisteria sounds pretty skwerl......go on.....just do it !!! and take pics

We are constantly renovating. No rush as the house is liveable as it is.
Been here 10 yrs and have so far built a huge shed, converted a bedroom into a family room, converted an office into a bathroom, fully renovated another bedroom and a kitchen, extended our backyard and built new fences and am currently totally redoing our front yard.
