Who enjoys Massages?

I'm currently in Boracay and massages are roughly less than $10 AUD/hr so I was told by everyone I should get them. I've had one every day. Don't get me wrong, It's OK. But people make out it's the best thing. Half the time I'm in pain. I can think of better things to do in an hour.

Depends on the type of massage.

I occasionally go to a Thai massage place ($20 for 20 mins in Surry Hills as a comparison Bob) and that is painful.

When I go to Thailand the massages are $8 for a hour, I have to ask them to be gentle with me. 🙂

Feel so good afterwards because the hotel beds are so hard in Thailand, have not come across a soft bed yet,

Bob, what are you doing? You are in Boracay and your posting here?

Forget about Australia and the world, just become a Borcayian for a while. Smiley Wink

Are you really there?  Or hallucinating?  Massaging the grey cells?

If you are there, who are you conversing with.  Any decent debates?

I don't like them at all.  I had a series of massage treatments for a frozen shoulder a couple of years ago and didn't enjoy any of it one bit.  Even neck and shoulder rubs, I can't stand them.

A friend gave me a voucher for one for my birthday - I gave it away 😐

Mr Elephant and I have a massage once a month.  It costs considerably more than $8 - 10 (though we do get some back through our private health cover). Our masseuse is Australian - of Dutch parentage - and specialises in remedial massage; many of her clients are sports ethusiasts or do heavy manual work. It can be a bit painful and I wouldn't want one every day but it certainly loosens up the muscles and  keeps the old limbs working reasonably well

I've never had one but we do seem to have a lot of *ahem* massage parlours popping up around here lately. They are usually called something like exotic Thai.

I have no problem with prostitution but I do wonder sometimes whether the masseuse knew what they were being sponsored for.
