Ms York said the Marriage Alliance wanted to find out what impacts legalising same sex marriage would have.
“We so have to find out what ramifications there will be. What will be the effects, there'll be so little discussion about this,” she said at the launch last Sunday.
The group said it had contacted Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull to make them aware of the decision.
"Has political correctness or the power of a certain lobby group reached so far down that it now erodes the once proud Australian 'fair-go' character that it is preventing ordinary Australians from having a voice?” Ms York said.

same sex couples have had the same
legal rights since 2008

Same-sex unions are not against the law. Have not been for a long time. Which planet are you living on?

Civil Unions aren't marriages.......what planet are you on?
Rights of survivorship, beneficiaries, powers of attorney, and the right to make medical decisions for a partner weren't accepted in many states............

sorry, no time to read it atm
can you just say which states?
One of the big arguments the anti-gay marriage advocates espouse is that "God intended marriage as a means of procreation"
our ex pm is an atheist.
Gillard opposes legalisation for same sex marriage in Australia., saying she believes "the Marriage Act is appropriate in its current form, that is recognising that marriage is between a man and a woman" and that marriage being between a man and woman "has a special status"
after she was no longer a pm
she changed her vies somewhat
saying she accepted it was only a
matter of time......

that's what they want to inform you about.
And where and how are they doing this?
If in fact they WERE doing this then the ad would no doubt be acceptable. But the ad does not provide information. It only has thinly disguised anti statements.

@kilroy_is_here wrote:so what your saying martini is its ok to discriminate against those who are anti gay marriage by denying them the right to be heard, be cause you do not agree with there choices or life style.?
now where have I seen that stance before?
Not at all.
The law is clear on homosexuality discrimination.
This ad is teetering on the edge of breaking those laws.
As I said earlier - if this ad WAS discussing the topic or providing information than perhaps it wouldn't be so controversial. As it is their 'questions' are clearly intended to plant seeds of (misinformed) discimination.
