Why are we blaming Hockey and Abott?

Obviously the money has got to come from somewhere. Where do you want to take it from???

True and it is something that new sellers need to learn, it is very difficult and postage costs are a huge deterrent

Everyone I talk to says the same thing about starting out, I think the fact that eBay push and reward you for listing with free postage is more of the problem though.

Ask Donna

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

16,500 public servants to lose their jobs, do they just walk out the door, and get another one? Where will they find one, with that many people out of work.

In Canberra, 1000's of people out of work will only spend money on basic necessities, the flow on affect from that will cause other employers to cut staff...more unemployed.

Are they under 30?

I've known a good number of public servants. They were lucky to be employed.

And to the stalkers. Don't.

A few members of another group I belong to won't buy multiple items from sellers with free postage because they feel they are being ripped off paying full hidden postage for each item.

I live in a regional area. Heaps of jobs for the young even though winter's coming.

Well, that solves Australias total youth unemployment problem then (all 257 000 of them)  One area has plenty of jobs (bet they are casual jobs also).

Well that was helpful to the conversation. Most fast food places are constantly looking for workers, so are supermarkets, even out of season. Unless they're too good for you, of course. Everyone has to start somewhere. Expecting to start at the top is a little bit egotistic?

......and bet there's only 4-6 hours/week being offered on casual rates. No penalties, no holidays, no superannuation.

....*wow sounds like a Mecca of a place careful we don't get trampled in the rush!

What does it matter if the public servants are under 30.. they will be jobless.. life on the dole ($250 pw for the over 25's or the lower YA for the under 25's) isn't a very enticing prospect.

This thread is about the Budget and the misery it is going to inflict on  Australian citizens.

Sounds like government jobs! Queensland health is still stuffing pays around. Hubby is being paid a quarter of this fortnights salary and I was hoping to be caught up after they forgot to pay me the last two pay days, but looking at my online payslip...alas no.
