that old people need a dog.
At 86 years of age a friend decided that not to replace her dog after him died. She had had him for 16 years and now she feels that she doesn't have the energy to look after a young dog.
Her grandchild turned up at the weekend with a 6 month old Bull terrier cross.
The friend lives in a retirement unit with a very small yard. The family can't understand why she doesn't want the dog.

Are people nuts? You do not surprise other people with pets as presents! Especially a puppy for an old person

The family are nuts, the dog is totally unsuitable even if she wanted a dog.
At 86 she is thinking about how long she will be able look after it and what will happen to it when she cant.

I agree
To give her such a powerful dog is stupid and also cruel to the dog.

Are you sure its a bull terrier X?? Also, its 6 months old, where did they get it, its probably already someone elses unwanted problem. She has to give it up to a rescue or something immediately.

They got it from a friend of theirs. The mother is a bull terrier cross the father is unkown.
She is waiting for a lady from the doggie rescue to come and get it sometime today.

I'm in my forties and I'm thinking that my heart puppy will be the last dog I have. People are thoughtless. Plus what a stupid breed to give a elderly person.
Me too
