how about this?
Mr Baird said the service was a chance to bring the community together and stand united against terrorist acts.
New South Wales Premier Mike Baird and representatives of the French government were at the service at St Andrew's Cathedral.
"A determination to stand against them and that's what we are doing here in Sydney today, in NSW and across the country."
French Ambassador Christophe Lecourtier said he would remember the service for the rest of his life.

I know some people who go to church mainly because they like to belong to the community. Some who do not go very often, may find solace in going again and being part of that community when something terrible happens. It makes them feel safer to be among friends. Others just spend more time with their family.
