I think for some people it's the need to feel that someone, somewhere has everything under control and is ultimately is going to make everything alright again..

If some superior, all-seeing being was in control, would they let such things happen in the first place?
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

This is what I don't get. Why worship the being that is responsibile for it or at the least have the ability to prevent such tragedy from happening. It's like worshiping your rapist or the person that could have prevented your rape so they can make things all better. Logically doesnt make sense.

A second memorial service will be held in Sydney to remember the 132 killed and more than 350 injured in the Paris terror attacks.
NSW Premier Mike Baird and the French Consul-General in Sydney will be among those attending the service at St Mary's Cathedral at 6:30pm on Monday.
Many of Sydney's civic and community leaders, as well as leaders of other faiths are expected to attend.

Most Christians don't advertise their faith, most Christians are quietly going about their daily lives trying to live in a Christian manner of do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Many Christians don't go to church but at a time of world uncertainty and horror they go to find solace in the company of other like minded people to reinforce their belief.
