Why do women live longer than men?

when I married my OH he was 5 years younger than me. I thought that was a good idea seeing men don't live as long as women....now what do I have? A OH who has dementia and it is very likely I will out live him.

you would think that women having to bear children and raise them,would make us strong, but eventually wear us out sooner?

Of course women are not as physicall strong as men, but IMO they have more stamina, both physically and mentally.

My long time adoring OH is 15 years younger than me.

I don't want him to outlive me.   I can survive very well on my own.  I don't think he can make the adjustment - and this worries me

If I fall of my perch first I just hope and pray that he finds somebody who appreciates what a treasure he is.

My OH is 22 yrs younger than me and like you, I hope when I fall off the perch he finds someone that appreciates the goodness in him
