Why don't things last like they used to

About 38 years ago I paid $150 for a Simpson clothes dryer. It has had several belts replaced and now the timer switch has gone. :_|It should have lasted longer than that. Not impressed.:-(

Re: Why don't things last like they used to

oooh thats a good innings ....

I have a hoover top loader washing machine .... thats about 23yrs old .... and still working like a trojan .... fingers crossed it keeps working for lots more years ....

was looking at microwaves for my mum the other week and noticed that most washing machines are computer operated now .... no knobs on any of them .... just little push buttons .... hate that cos it one goes the whole machine goes 😞

it is a throw away society .... sadly we had to discard 3 tvs recently due to them being anagram ones and cheaper to buy a new one instead of a set top box .... what a waste !!
