Why is there a debate about Abortion?

Whether you're Pro-choice or Anti-choice. Both sides agree you cannot force someone to donate their body whether you believe a foetus is a human being or not. Doesn't the debate just end there?

I agree the woman has control over her body. Most definately. She's there getting an abortion isn't she? She must've become impregnated somehow. (I'm sure a certain percentage of abortions are a result of rape or some kind of sexual abuse of some kind) but without researching the topic my guess is that these numbers would be fairly low.  Where do you draw the line.? How many abortions is too many? Why in this day and age of contreception do there need to even be so many aborted babies? Everyone I know that has had an abortion (a couple of friends) they have gone through emotional turmoil since having an abortion.  In the back of their minds is always thoughts of what might have been.  Why did they have an abortion? Because they fell pregnant when they were too young...

Surely people havent become so shallow that they think abortion is just a black and white debate.  There is so much more to it than just the question of whether the woman is in control of her own body or not.

Why don't you care about the women involved Rabbit? Why should they be forced to be an incubator if they don't want to?

Yes and no with toe nails  It's possible to extract some bits with DNA but mostly no.

 I am not sorry that topic was zapped, it was disgraceful to claim that abortion is "all the rage" or as other poster put it "it's fashionable", and being used as contraception.  When actually the rates are steadily declining, at least here in Victoria, with peak being back in 1996:
