Surely in this day and age somewhere out there is a very smart person/s that can somehow create a new selling and buying
platform that can compete as well as ebay?
Ebay was created in the 90's so the technology now should make it easier to start another platform?
Or have Ebay recruited everyone that's creative enough to run their business and there's no one left?
Surely there is perhaps a disgruntled employee who knows the ins and outs and could jump ship and start some well needed competition?
And help all the poor souls that have been hard done by Ebay, myself included

I think that the site you're talking about is the site that I'm with also as I don't have much competition but as you
said not enough buyers.

TradeMe seems to work well in NZ. My kiwi family go there before eBay every time.

Yes but you need to have a NZ bank account if you live in Australia.
One of my relatives kindly let me use theirs.
There are a few restrictions but they don't affect me so will see how it all goes.
No harm in giving it a go.

Postage in NZ iss much cheaper then in Australia so that is a Plus

I didn't think you needed a NZ bank account if you're from Aus any more?
on 28-05-2016 08:06 AM
That's what I thought, but when I went through the process and I needed to credit my account, which is what you need
to do to get authenticated,I was blocked as I didn't have a bank account in NZ.
So I searched through the policies and found that a NZ bank account was needed to sell items.

Can't wait for it to start up if it ever happens.
Ebay is chock full of staff that have no idea how to or wish to do their jobs with any degree of ability or customer service focus.
The login system is an absolute joke and most people would rather buy using the guest login than try to navigate through all this **bleep** they have put in place.
Sooner it all folds and something else takes over the better.
