I just don't get why women are getting blamed for this rule that they probably had nothing to do with.

The rules are made by common sense and decorum, either of which are necessary to function in society.

Bus drivers are supplied shorts by bus companies for them to wear as part of uniform for summer, and the majority of buses these days have air conditioning........

So why cant men in other work sectors wear shorts?

Many years ago, when I was working men could wear shorts to work, even in offices.

Yes the males should be able to wear knee length shorts to the office but only if they wear knee length socks and sandals with them. 😉

I think you'll find that in at least 90% of businesses the people setting the dress code are....ummm....men.

If men feel discriminated against, then surely it is up to them to do something about it - or is this  another thing they expect their womenfolk to do for them?
