Please help! I am currently looking for a website address for my business (for Aussie and Kiwi mums, dads, mums2be etc) and the ..com.au one I wanted is taken ๐ I can look at an different .com.au address or do it as a .com. What are your thoughts of a .com site? It would make it easy to have one site for both countries but I don't want people to think its not for Aussie/NZ parents.
Thanks for your advice ๐

the address isnt really the important thing if you gett your ranking & key words right you will poip up in a search at the top , as to those who search for your site specificlly you have already engaged them so again the address is not that importatnt , my advise if you want to be succesful on line employ a good seo manager & marketing company who takes care of keeping you at the top of the rankings,
combing all you on line presance such as google words, face book , you tube & twitter under the manager as the more active all these are the more you pop up in searches.
the internet is the the new yellow pages so dont be affriad to spend to advertise it pays back big time

I'd say think of another name and get both the .com and the com.au to avoid any confusion and to avoid losing traffic to the other site with the same name.

I tend to mistrust American sites and take .com.au much more seriously
could just be me though
i would try for .com.au or .net.au

for the low cost though it is worth grabbing both so nobody else can and so no traffic accidently finds its way to the other site. Grab the .com and point it to the .com.au. It can be done for about $20 per year.
