I'm not going to complain cause I hate summer, but we Sydney peeps haven't had one really.
I wonder if this is the wettest summer Sydney has had?

Debra, yes many suburbs with no rain for nearly 8 weeks. According to B o Meteorology - Melbourne Metropolitan Area and Environs in January 2013: Rainfall much less than that usually received.
Dams 6 weeks ago were 81%, now 76 %.
God's logistics and distribution boys are sleeping on the job with all the rain up North.
Lets hope it's part of the natural cycles.

Hang in there Katy, it will pass
House bound is a safe way to be in that weather I wouldn't be driving out there for anything

we are in one of those suburbs Kopen. A case of too much and too little in this strange country of ours

Thanks, Debra ... and god bless supermarket delivery (I don't drive anyway).
But, I'm hanging out for a long walk ... and some more sunshine ... and about 6 weeks of no rain at all.
I hope it's all well where you are ๐

Katy, in a week or so, you'll be going for walks in the sunshine, thinking how lush and green everything is.

I hope so, Debra, but a lot of the time "lush and green" translates to "muddy and wet".
I had to laugh the other day ... pouring with rain and some guy mowing the lawn over the street. Obviously a contractor ... and very devoted to duty. I wanted to get my son to go and ask for his business card ... but it was too wet.
I wish I could send you some wet stuff ๐

Hi Katy.... hope all is well... looks pretty severe down there....
There is another system on the way, not going to hit you guys for a bit as it is slow moving but they expect it to hit my place later today.... then slowly travel down south.

It's been a dry Summer here in Charlton Victoria, so far this year less than 9mm of rain. We only got 280mm of rain for the whole of last year instead of our usual 450+. Hopefully we don't get a repeat of that this year.

We are also in the Coffs Harbour region. Everything is still covered with water and two huge trees have crashed across the street. The SES have been here for hours cutting up to clear the street. The wind sounded like a freight train and the surf is massive. Very impressive. Hope you are dry Katy. The kookaburras are just laughing outside the window, so since those boys don't tend to come out until it is all over, I think that we will be ok now. We lost power and phone connection. All good now though.
