At the bakery I go to almost everyday for bread they never say "can I help you" or anything like that. It is always "ya right?". Hate it, hate it, hate it X-(
They are really nice otherwise but that just grates everytime I hear it ๐

:^O Hope you feel better now katy :^O
While we're on the subject of banal greetings. I was always taught, when asked how I am, to answer "I'm well thank you" never "good thanks". That one irks me too.
It's no wonder hardly any one speaks to me ๐ :^O

icy I hate how they put the milk right at the back of the store, of course that is a very good marketing ploy.
I tend to say to customers "Hi", and depending on thier response I'll either stay silent or say something like "how's it going?"
Whats with people now saying "My bad" instead of "Oops I stuffed up" or "I'm bad"

My co-worker had me grinding my teeth this year
She says seen and done instead of saw and did.
Nearly drove me tears
That would almost drive me to homicide.... I HATE HATE HATE when people do that.. Also when people say "Get some of them chips" instead of "Get some of those chips"

This has got me wondering if I say that at the supermarket, will have to try and remember to check myself.
Check yourself before you wreck yourself :^O

" ya right " ... "ya what? "
I always take 'ya right' as an insult - kind of like in a tone of "You right there"? with the inflection on the words right and there. In my world it meant - whaddya think you're doing? Mind you I am old :^O

"My bad" is the worst saying anyone ever came up with and it took off. I hate it to death.

As to grammer, my pet hate is when people writing put - You would 'of' thought - instead of 'have' thought X-(
