Yet another of those stupid little things that irritate me ....

At the bakery I go to almost everyday for bread they never say "can I help you" or anything like that.  It is always "ya right?".  Hate it, hate it, hate it X-(

They are really nice otherwise but that just grates everytime I hear it 😐

Call me a sugaryplum but when cashiers ask me how I am I usually say And how are you?  It must be murder dealing with the public like they do everyday. And imagine having to ask miserable (mostly) faces  how they are.

At least they're not saying so much have a wonderful day, that really gives me toothache..

A lady I worked with, would always say to customers "Hey, how ya doing?"  her response when the customer asked her how she was was "Cheerin'" or "Lovin' the world" Now, this is not so bad if you're a customer but I had to hear it all day and it really got on my nerves...

Another one she used to say a lot was "Pearler" and "Enjoy your bargains"

So annoying

"My bad" is the worst saying anyone ever came up with and it took off.  I hate it to death.

What's wrong with it? I use it all the time. ?:|

:^O Hope you feel better now katy :^O

While we're on the subject of banal greetings.  I was always taught, when asked how I am, to answer "I'm well thank you" never "good thanks".  That one irks me too.

It's no wonder hardly any one speaks to me 😞 :^O

I always say good thanks, even if I am not (for example, when at Doctors when they ask how are you, I will say good thanks, when obviously I am not good, if I am sick enough to go to a Dr), it is just an auto response.

How are you - is a question in  about you day in general though isn't it? Not exclusively related to your health.

I am well thank you - does that mean exclusively I am not sick, or everything in my life is good today?

Just wondering if I should train myself to say "Ï am well thank you'' now.

What about replying to How are you as ''not too bad thanks''?

I used to say that for some reason decided it wasnt the best answer.

In shops/businesses when the say at the end of a visit/call .. Have a nice afternoon etc, I quite like that.

grammer = grammar.

It always looks amusing when someone is bagging out others spelling or use of English and they spell grammar wrong themselves.

I usually say that...

The other day when I went shopping instead of saying "How are you?" I got "HI, I think I serve you every day" :^O

Hmmm, shouldn't that be 'wrongly"?

Are we on irritating things in supermarkets? Or in general.

If supermarkets:

I hate how they don't keep the UH cream near the UH milk, at C*l*s. I like to keep a little carton of it in the pantry for cooking purposes.

For some strange reason they keep it near desserts, and I always forget and look for it where they keep the UH milk. Then I have to retrace my steps and go back. If I'm shopping in my lunch hour, this makes me cranky.

Me to, makes sense it should be with the UH milk.

I bought some wine at W and the guy was wheeling a huge trolley loaded with "grog" He said "go around that way" I said OK and he did not say thank you. I was in a silly mood and said "I know it's Xmas and thank yous are in short demand but you could throw one my way if you have any left. He ignored me for a bit and then came up to me and said thank you, sorry I did forget. I felt so much better.

Keep it nice, I might cry if you write anything upsetting (like not)

They don't keep the fresh cream with the fresh milk, so why would UHT be any different?.

Cream is usually kept near desserts as people like to put it on their desserts...
