I was just reading Donnas thread which brought up some of my favourite words. Like nong. Nong is probably the best - it has just the right amount of put-down and there is no come back.

My other favourite is nincompoop.

Numpty. I am not sure if it was this word, but one caused a big stir on CS once as others took offence to it in general. Numpty is something I picked up from British TV shows...can't remember exactly which word it was now that was objected too.
