They must be talking about the days when people bought a pack of 20 or even 10.

wouldn't advertising the true cost be more effective?
what are they now $20 a packet? thats over $7000 a year

Mr Grizz, I have an app that I put on my phone not long after I quit. I was kind to myself in stating how much I was smoking.
Since I gave up 2 years and 3 months ago, I have saved $24,485. Of course I haven't really saved it but that's what it tells me I would have spent on ciggies in that time.
I was a 50 a day smoker.

cool.
when i first quit i put a lot of stuff on lay buy.
i used to buy a carton every week, so paid that every week towards the lay buy instead. so i sort of had something to show for it.

my workplace sells packets of 20 ciggs sometimes around ten dollars & we have a new pack now of 25 cigs for $13 and lots of people are switching from more well known brands to new brands to save as they are nearly half the cost of more well known types..

Only a 'never smoker' would say 'a pack a day'
Some packs are 50. That's a lot of ciggies

And I'll bet the people who have packed in smoking, still crave a cigarette. I've heard many people who have been a non-smoker for as many as ten, twenty years or more, say they could kill for one.
Does the yearning for a smoke ever go away ?
