Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. 🙂

I clicked on that inkscape link. WTF? But then I'm an old fart, so I guess your younger ones would find it a walk in the park.
It's not your age, Gill. The website is poorly designed. But you can click on FAQ on the left to read the frequently asked questions. And click download on the left too.
Tas, no pressure. Art is can't be fun if there are time constraints.
katy, I have always been interested in stained glass windows(SGW), and hope to make suncatchers and SGWs in the future.

Thanks, Tas, I will start to take photos soon.
Moonlight, I had a broken bit of a windchime that was made of glass ... as I hate to throw anything out, I considered repairing it, like a stained glass church window. But, as I know I can hang on to things for years or decades, without doing anything with them, I threw it out. Have you looked at artificial leadlighting?

No I haven't katy. The stained glass projects will be at least 6-12 months from now. Right now I am just focused on the drawing and painting. 🙂

Moonlight that is AWESOME - I saw your first effort and thought well done for a first attempt, but you have come ahead in leaps and bounds. Wow and well done!!!
Amy - I have done nothing either, sorry. It is the opposite where I am, still warm/hot but the continual rain rain rain is making me too miserable to even attempt to be creative.

Don't feel bad greencat - the rain has been much less here for the past few days, but we had a solid week-and-a-half of rain and I did absolutely NOTHING. I really mean absolutely nothing - virtually didn't move from my computer I was so depressed. The last week we've had showers, but not continual rain and I've achieved heaps - amazing what a difference the weather makes to our moods.

Photos later, but I have just removed most of the canvas from a frame and sanded the wood.
It ... "wood" be nice if I had a staple remover for staples put in with a staple gun. I tried to get them out with a screw driver, but that wasn't going to work.
I've been threading beads onto various strings ... beading elastic, beading cotton, will do some on beading wire ... thinking I'll attach them with beading wire and then cover the wood ... or paint it.

i have used a bread knife to lever out staples. worked much better than a screwdriver
