Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. 🙂

a new project? NOoooo I haven't started on the flower project yet :_|
There is no pressure on anyone to start or finish any projects, even if they have previously indicated their involvement. Pressure is not fun, and we are all about fun. 🙂
If I was in your shoes, I'd just abandon it and look forward to the next one. But we should allow another week to give more time for people who want to start or finish it, before starting another one.

This has been fun and I hope someone else will suggest a new project idea for the next couple of weeks.
I've been thinking about clouds a lot lately, so maybe that could be an idea for a project? But would love to hear other ideas.
How is your womb room coming along? Found your memory wire for the wind chime yet?
on 16-04-2013 11:34 AM
The womb room is getting there slowly, thank you for asking, Moonlight. And, yes, I found the memory wire, but now I have to work out how to attach it ... and I'm still working on the window thingie ... I just can't get around to finishing anything ... I have three almost completed pieces of knitting, too, LOL.
Could someone remind me how to cast off knitting? I've got a complete blank.

slip one stitch over the other?
on 16-04-2013 01:40 PM
Katy, knit two together, slip stitch from eight needle back to the left nedle. Knit two together - etc, until to come to the end of the row. Slip yarn through last stitch to tie up.
I would suggest to use a needle one size larger to cast off,(right hand needle) otherwise the cast off edge can become a bit tight.
Hope that helps.

I knew it had something to do with slipping a stitch over another:^O

we're having a rip snorter noisy storm here at the moment...did someone mention "clouds"?

Okay, nothing to present today (except one white, blank canvas). But I did make a start; I bought the canvas and retrieved my paints from the caravan in the back paddock.
So if the new project is clouds, then I can combine the old project - flowers - and the new - clouds - into one piece.
I have finally decided what I'm going to do, so both projects can be combined into one. I was going to say combined beautifully into one, but that is probably not going to be a reflection on my art; rather on how beautifully the two projects combine for me!

We're having a cracker here too, Gill. Has been going on since about 1pm, now 4:30pm and no signs of abating. I am having to sit with our little pomeranian dog in my lap, she hates storms and I have to be with her - she even has to come to the loo with me. Mind you, our GSD (RIP) also hated storms and had to come to the loo with me too - only a little toilet and had to fit me, Smudge and Tango!
