Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. 🙂

@j*oono wrote:Thanks Moonlight. It's an A5 Mont Marte pad from Red Dot. I thought Red Dot was Australia wide but I learnt on Stringers that it's not but it's like a reject shop or Crazy Clarkes but a bit better I think.
I can't remember what I paid. I think I mentioned on here a while ago but it was under $5 and it's 30 sheets. I bought another one yesterday which is A4 size 12 sheets and it was $6.99 but the paper in that one is a lot thicker.
I dropped into RD today, and picked up Mont Marte 30 Sheets A4 watercolour paper for $6.99. They also had 15 A5 for $2.99 and 15 A4 for $5.99. They also had some canvas pads, which I will pick up soon.

Hopefully my art will look a bit better with proper wc paper!

YAY finally!
proper water colour paper is beautiful to use, you get all these fabulous bleed effects and a smoother flow oc colour than the other stuff. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Sorry if I've already posted this on here before, I just came across it looking for 'rust' photos.

I like it Cosmo. It's got Bette Davis eyes. I didn't know that you did metal work? 🙂
EDIT: Pimp, yeah finally! But I am kinda bored with watercolours for now(been using wc for at least 6 months), and will be playing with acrylics for the next few weeks. Are you doing any art at the moment?

I do remember seeing your metal piece before cosmo...I absolutely love it and loved moonlights "Bette Davis" eye description !
I'm VERY glad you bought some proper paper moonlight...you will understand why we were trying to talk you into using it once you've done a painting using it. but.....it wont work with acrylics, it's not strong enough. Although you can use acrylics like watercolours and mix them with as much water as you like, they can be used with the paper in this way. Very versatile medium...straight from the tube, mixed with a thickening gel or thinned with water.......have fun !
