Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. 🙂

I LOVE the painting joono ! lucky you. I use to love having models to paint when I was learning art, lots of different shapes and sizes.....I liked the bigger women best, it felt really, hmm, don't know how to describe it...organic ? feminine ? We used to get a lot of uni students modelling as it paid well.
When I do a bit more of the bird drawing moonlight I'll post another pic. It needs shadows under the twigs, branches to "ground" it...atm they look like they're floating. Little things make a big difference.
Do you have Aldi near you ? From Wed. they have large tubes of acrylic for 99c and w/c,sketching and acrlic canvas pads cheap too.
Hope you can take some time out to start some art too gil.
I've been out today but will take the w'c painting into art tomorrow and if everyone is happy doing their own thing I'll try to finish it.

Hi art people
have done a little more on the watercolour but wont finish it as most of the flowers are stuffed! lol It's a very unforgiving medium. A couple are okayish but I need lots more practise. I'll take a pic and post later in the week when I've hopefully done some more. Think I'll try one large flower.
Anyone else been painting?
You're improving with your shading moonlight....have you tried charcoal yet? think I asked a while ago but can't remember your answer...sorry! anyway it's a great medium for drawing and any old paper will do even butchers/packing paper.
Have fun all.

Hi gil
are you still thinking of joining an art class? Probably the way to go as you feel like you have to go if you've paid! lol
I'm finding the watercolour easy to transport. I'm usually weighed down with heaps of stuff when I use acrylic but this is all light weight...like it ! just wish I was better at it.....I'll keep on trying though.
