I noticed that when we were staying in the area Donna, I also wondered how bins were emptied when cars are parked in the streets blocking the bins on the foot path.

It's terrible isn't it freddie

I wont blame it on the backpackers though lol

Latina it may just be because in smaller places people talk, you can live next door to someone here for 20 years and never see them.

We have a councils clean up every 3 months (Sydney).

I've made thousands and thousands selling stuff picked up off the side of the road. And that's without looking.

I made $450 on a desk a couple of months ago That I walked across the road from my neighbours hours.

People have no idea of the value of the things they throw away..

If I didn't have a day job, I could easily make a living simply from collecting furniture and bits.

With the exception of our lounges, our beds and our dining chairs pretty much all our furniture is off road finds. I can spot a beautiful piece driving along a freeway at 90km/h.

This morning I picked up an amazing 1940's sewing machine in a case and with a whole lot of sewing paraphernalia including a box of 1950's sewing and knitting patterns. I might keep the machine and sell all the bits. Probably around $200 worth.

And while waiting to collect my kids from tennis, the house a cross the road was bringing out a train table complete with all those expensive wooden Thomas Tank tracks and scenes. I made them put it straight in the boot lol!

It really annoys me when people throw away toys. And they are always newish and expensive - like the 5 Fisher Price dolls houses i have sitting in the garage at the moment. I pick up all toys, clean them up and give them to a local church op shop close to christmas. Why chuck something that a kid would love to have??
