Dear Mods. Is it possible to create a political discussion board similar to the Art and Crafts or the Fun and Games Board?
That way the politickers could argue politics all day long if they wished without disrupting the flow of general discussion topics on Community Spirit.
Thanks.
And is there any chance the hover feature will be coming back?

Good idea icy,
Also no reporting allowed just because your opinion is not the same as some others. It would then be a level playing field and the conservative minority on here would get a fair go.
Then we would be spared all those whining about them....or do they like doing it?

The Devils tag thread was not a game thread. It was a place that a group of people went to chat together.
It was one thread that did not disrupt the board at all.
I know, DDB.
Everything got chucked off willy-nilly because people voted they wanted to keep CS for general discussion. OK fine, but in the last few months it's been dominated by politics. Fair enough there's been a lot of political turmoil and smear campaigns on both sides.
The election is over. We have a new PM. Time to move on.
Those that live sleep and breathe politics should be able to talk freely on their own board, without disrupting the flow of general f topics on a community board.

Adults should be able to have a difference of opinion without resorting to insult and ridicule, Silver.

Beats me why they started the fun and games board in the first place. None of those threads hurt anyone or the community by being here. If anything shifting them made things more boring.

When did anyone vote on moving threads off the boards?
Didn't the moderators just take it upon themselves in much the same way live world moderated the boards?

So often current affairs, news and politics are mixed.
Creating a political board would just be another way of banning political discussion because nobody would go to a specific board.
Where would current affairs and news fit?
Current affairs and news relating to politics in the policital discussion forum. Current affairs and news not relating directly to politics in community spirit.

anti/pro immunisation,raising/lowering drinking/driving ages, threads about how a political figure looks should be on another board (a Political board)
These are general discussion topics for those who care about such issues
and they all could be seen as involving politics/policy and Pollies couldn't they ?
Politics can't imo be excluded from general discussion (maybe in some other Countries it's not permitted????)
imo it shouldn't be excluded any more than religion should or could
Hi Icy, Politics is a part of life .So much involves politics in one way or another and political threads have been posted on CS for much longer than the past few months.imo discussing politics is not a problem though I know it may be to others ...imo It's how things are discussed
at the moment we await the PM Elect becoming PM and clarification of the plans the new Government has for this Country .There will be a lot of Australians and people overseas discussing this ...good,bad or otherwise. That is our right
