Sad news to wake up to.

Re: executions go ahead.

My views on their sentence changed as the time got closer and these 2 men became human in my eyes

being shot to death is a barbaric treatment carreid out by barabarians

the smiling police leaving the island this morning had smiles i wanted to wipe off their faces. How disgusting not to respect the berevity of the situation and treat it as a big joke. they showed NO empathy for the families at all

#givethemnothing !!

no more 604billiion in aid programs...NO we need the money for our own people.

I never had a desire to travel the Bali, and i now know that i never ever will

People over there always smile.  I do not think that indicates anything about their feelings. That is just the way it is, and their smile should not be given meaning which is not there.  Their country, their culture.

Re: executions go ahead.

They were doing what they did knowing the laws of that country and the only reason they "changed" is because they were caught.

Had they not been caught they would have still gone on their merry way destroying others lives for the sake of the money they wanted.

They did not care about the problems they caused in others lives while dealing drugs so why should one care about them?

I know a lot will disagree with me and that is your choice as this view is mine.
Drug dealers cause so much grief for others in their chase of making money fast.

We hope that people that move to our country do not disrupt out ways ( and as we know this does not happen and it makes a lot of us angry they want to carry on like they do in their own country) and so it should be the same when we go to other countries.

Respect their laws.

Unfortunately the drugs will still go on as no one is irreplaceable.

The death penalty deserves no respect.

Re: executions go ahead.

Im not sad and im certainly not in mourning or holding a candlelit vigil or a having a minutes silence for them. They are master manipulators who used and abused uneducated drug addicts to bring heroin into Australia from a country that does not hide the fact that if you get caught, you will be
executed.

They had no remorse for the "mules" they used and no remorse for the families their heroin would tear apart.

People say they had been rehabilitated, well i dont believe that for a second. But i do believe they faked rehabilitation. Who wouldnt if it meant possibly not being executed?

This was their 4th time smuggling heroin into Australia. If they hadnt been caught, no doubt there would of been a 5th, 6th, 7th etc time. They also ran smuggling operations from other countries. Two teens arrested in Hong Kong were about to swallow 114 heroin filled condoms at Chans command. "Reformed" Chan wrote one of them a lovely threatening letter from his prison cell telling her to "keep her mouth shut.".

So, no, as an Australian, i dont care that they have been executed.

Re: executions go ahead.

I have mixed feelings. I am totally and unequivocally against the death penalty, anywhere, at any time and for any reason. I also think the way these men were treated borders on the barbaric and for that I blame not only the Indonesian government but the media and all those lawyers who are the only ones to have profited from this sordid business..

                                            HOWEVER

Two days after ANZAC Day, I'm damned if I'm going to confer martyr status on two convicted heroin smugglers.

Re: executions go ahead.

Well, said TGSE. and I am frankly sick of hearing about them every hour on news break;  I really do not care where their bodies are on their way to Australia.  Actually, I wonder why are they being brought back and who is paying.
