Re: how to tell if your dog has a tooth ache?

I saw something strange on The Project show tonight.  If your dog wags his tail to the right he is happy and relaxed.  If he wags it to the left he is more stressed and worried.

It so works!  When I was preparing some left overs for a snack for him he was wagging his tail to the left.  He really wasn't sure it was for him.  When I grabbed his bowl to put it in he started wagging his tail to the right!  Isn't that amazing.

I hope your doggie is ok Mr Grizz.  You are lucky to have a vet open on a Sunday.  We do have locums but not always easy to get to.

Have you checked his mouth out to see if he has something stuck between his teeth?

Our dog had a piece of bone wedged in his one time.

A dog will also try to get his paw nail into the teeth if there is pain and finds it hard to lie still.

May also whimper and shake the head often.

That'll be good then.   Gosh, they do make you worry though.

You see something's wrong with them but it's a guessing game

what the problem is.   I always worried about how to pay the vet

as well.   Had to pay to have my poor old dog put to sleep, and

then had no money for food for a week. So was really miserable.

Hope everything works out just fine for doggy..Lotsa gentle pats

oughta help

Good to hear that doggie will have teeth checked. They can't tell us if they have pain.

I took my shaggy waggy to the groomer two weeks ago, and when the winter wool came off we saw a large lump on the inside of her leg.

$500 later, and she still has the lump, but the vet is confident that it is benign. I am sure the vet would have rung if it where otherwise. I have to take her back this friday to have the stitches out. (from the biopsy) I also asked for her teeth to be checked while she was asleep, but forgot to ask if they were ok. Some questions for friday I guess.
