Re: huh?

I think she is genuine, but there's nothing we can do here about it. Our police system is not like theirs.

I was watching an american show on telly last week and a family was killed by police. They were driving in their car, not doing anything wrong, and the cops mistook them for someone else. The cops thought they saw a gun and opened fire on this car, killing the occupants.  I don't really get the gist of what happened to Joanie but after seeing that I believe it is possible to get screwed over by the coppers over there. I don't think it would happen in this country. Our police are very accountable for all their actions.

I don't think Joanie gets that the point she is trying to make is somewhat lost on this demographic, hence why I have tried to get her to chat about other stuff. I feel bad for her, but I can't help her. I can be a friend and just chat about how her days going but apparently that is not 'riveting' conversation. Oh well. what can ya do......

I'd like to think she was genuine too, but all the indications are that it's more attention-seeking. The fact that I've worked closely with literally hundreds of people in somewhat similar circumstances over the years, (those with victim mentalities and/or self-destructive peronality disorders), suggests to me otherwise. There are clues.

Knowing that her issues were real, would allow us to assist her by reccommending courses of action, but she appears to be wallowing in self-pity, and enjoying the notoriety too much for someone who's actually going through what she indicates. The mere fact that she chooses not to talk about other areas of her life also vindicates my theory.

I don't doubt for a moment that USA police may well be different to ours - gun laws and ownership alone would see to that.

I can also recall my father-in-law, recanting an incident he'd seen in an Asian country as a tourist around 20 years ago. It seems that an Asian man was seen running out of a hotel, clutching a wallet. A nearby police officer drew his sidearm and shot the man in the leg - assuming he'd just robbed someone of his wallet.

Apparently, he was a only clerk, chasing someone who'd left his wallet behind. Crime was so rampant in that country at the time, police shot first, and asked questions later.

So yes, there are different rules in different countries, but I find it too hard to beleive that Joanie suffers so much continual persecution - without having drawn it upon herself in the first instance.

Re: huh?

Remember the poor guy who was killed in a hail of bullets at a London Tube station because the cops thought he was a terrorist?

I think something really bad did happen to Joannie, but I think that as a result of this she now believes that every police station in every town of every state of America has her photo on file with instructions "attack on sight."

Pimpy is right, there is nothing we can do to help except try to be friendly "voices" for her and encourage her to tlive each day as it comes and derive as much happiness as possible from every positive moment  that comes her way.

Re: huh?

I'm glorifying violence because I posted a youtube video that explores the question of how far one can be pushed by the police before they would be justified in pushing back. Or something to that effect. One of many videos and topics I bring with me to this or any board. I's my guess that because of my posting style, honesty and love of the truth, my talent for keeping it real, my presents on this board will be short lived. Mods would rather cator to those like "one time" and thats fine, it's their place. I'm just offering a choice. one of many, You can choose one, the other or both. Thats the beauty part about freedom. That goes for those like "one time" as well, but some other places might not cator to them like this place does.

As for the video, I nither agree or disagree with it, just seemed an interesting thing to discuss. I don't do borring so well. Most don't value humanity, even their own as much as they value and warship police and government.

Only speaking of peace, N.V. 4 life and all that. Truth will always be ignored, attacked and hidden by tyrants who have no intrest whatsoever for peace.

Continue with the personal attacks on me, nothing I can do as the mods will always side against me. Those lies posted up a few replies about me should not be belived by those reading this, and the fact is they are not believed by anyone who has seen me first hand. Not even the police believe those lies, they just support them in childish efforts to get at me, or get to me, baiting tacticts and all. No diffrent from the trolls here.
