i really hate my

:_| Washing machine, X-(

I made a post about this ages ago,:|

I was hand washing for my family of six as my machine died,:|

As i couldn't make my mind up on what i should buy i kept at hand washing, Until 4 weeks ago and bought a 5.5kg fisher and paykel top loader. Thinking it was so nice to finally have a machineB-)

I hate this machine, Its so rough on the fabrics it has torn a few items of clothing because it causes them to get stuck under the agitator. X-(

So i call the fisher and paykel help line and had a repairman out under warranty to assess the machine.

He looked at it and said it was all fine and to wash all clothes in a mesh bag.(never ever heard of machine) requiring this either.?:|

But still gets the mesh bag caught and tore it open during the cycle and now have a item stuck under the agitator once again and won't budge X-(. Grrr I have had enough of this rubbish. Then on top of this it leaves excessive lint on the clothes (yes i separate very carefully) I use half the liqard omo detergent and clothes still don't seem very well rinsed either:_|. I use the right cycle for what fabrics im washing etc, Im not stupid:^O

Tomorrow im taking the machine back to the good guys and making a stand on a full refund or replacement to another brand and if i have to make a song and dance till they help me out so bloody be it as they haven't been at all helpful either. .:_|:O:|X-(;\

So if any of you can tell me of your experiences with a excellant washing machine im all ears, ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for your understanding but i needed to vent about this disgraceful appliance.

I just had my Kleenmaid top loader fixed and serviced ($550).  When the replacement cost was $2200, I decided better to fix it.  It's great as you can even wash a queen or king size doona in it!

But then I bought as Asko front loader at the scratch & dent sale for $1100.  :^O  defiantly washes clothes better - they don't come out "fluffy" - especially blacks.

BUT I still need my Kleenmaid because I can wash the doonas in it.  No way could I fit even a single bed doona into the Asko.

Both great for different things.

The Kleenmaid is at least 15 years old (was my mothers) and has been a great machine.  The Asko is a great machine too.

Re: i really hate my

I would write a letter to them giving them 14 days to resolve the issue or you will take further action because the item does not do what it advertises.  Does the machine do this on delicates as well?  I had a Fisher and Paykel, never again had excessive lint on the clothes and didn't wash properly but my issue was with the quality of the machine, yours sounds faulty.

I have a whirlpool cabrio now and I dislike that too but not because it's faulty it just doesn't wash as well and secretly I wish I'd kept my old fashioned one,it used more water but at least it washed your clothes well!!! I am fussy though!  But n o you should not have to put all your clothes in a mesh bag, take photos and lodge a formal complaint in writing to have the issue resolved.

what's with the broken leg thing? Last time you asked that in the washing machine thread I thought you were talking about my hubbys leg (which is still broken BTW)

I like te asko frontloader, washes well. I have a twin tub for doonas and big stuff but my stepson has been using it and he must've had a tool in his pocket which has scratched and gouged the plastic agitator. I haven't washed in it since then but it looks like it will snag clothes now X-( Horrible child.

Poor you dianne, washing machine problems are the pits.

Mine is doing many horrible things, but I can't afford to get it replaced or even serviced just now, so I am handling it with kid gloves.

I REALLY hope it survives Easter, the Easter bunny costumes really give it a workout. ๐Ÿ˜ž

(Crossing my fingers with all my might)

Then again, Easter Bunny bookings are as good as E-Bay sales this year, which is to say the pits as well. :_|

The machine may make it after all.

Re: i really hate my

I have just bought a F+P 5.5 top loader and it works like a dream, there must be something wrong with yours.

Re: i really hate my

I've got a F&P top loader and I reckon your spinning the clothes too fast. My machine has a button where I can choose the spin speed. I find that, if I spin the sheets and other pieces of clothing on the fast speed, they come out all wrinkly or still with dirt on them in patches. Otherwise, no problems with this machine.
