All i hear smoking this or that, gets on my goat

if you dont like cigs well that's your hard luck mate, i smoke and enjoy it, smoked 30 years ,and alot don't get it

out there, their are alot like me who can't stop, tried everything to stop don't work so i'll stick to it, untill its that exspensive i will have to force myself to stop, 

if the government really cared they'd ban it, how about raising tax on **bleep** pots

well anyhow was good to get that off my chest

I saw an article in my local paper about a man (59)who had severe emphysema and had recently had a procedure called an"endobronchial valve treament".It does not require surgery, the valves are inserted down your throat into one lung.He was given a new lease on life and now can walk and do things he couldn`t do before.My respiratory doctor does not do this procedure but I was referred to a doctor who does.At the moment I am having a few tests done to see if I am a suitable candidate..a bit daunting but exciting at the same time!!

Talking about Emphysema; I had a friend who never smoked in his life. Neither of the family smoked and friends were asked to not smoke while visiting. They were farmers and hardly ever went to the city. Working outdoors in fresh air, but he had Emphysema most of his life, but died of a heart attack at the age of 85.

Not everyone that smokes gets affected with lung problems.

True,   mum died of lung cancer and never smoked.

I believe though if she had have smoked the cancer would have been more aggressive.

I used to enjoy smoking too,  when I was smoking, but jeez I'm glad I gave it up.
