Who will be watching? Started seeing ads for it on TV, but can't find any info about when it will start.

Re: masterchef the professionals

:^O @ Nathan's hair.

I was thinking exactly the same 🙂 he needs a hair pin or two.

Rhett hates Green team. He always lose team challenge in green team and somehow he is always in green team. I think he just got so frustrated about losing another team challenge. And Luke failed badly last night.

The tent should have been set up before they start cooking but I think they were so proud of how they set up the kitchen in the shape of M. So they decided not covering up till when they really had to.

It was such a good show tonight.

Sarah is a very good chef and a master at multitasking.  All four of them I would have been happy for them to get the immunity but I'm glad it was Sarah.

Didn't one of them have to go home and they've been replaced?

Re: masterchef the professionals

I knew that Sarah would win. They want a boy & girl finish. Sarah is the only competent girl left - Bonny has got no chance. What better way to increase the likelyhood of a girl in the finals than with an immunity pin? This is the only way to keep a girl in the competition.

That is not to say that Sarah didn't win it on her own merits, but this show has the agenda of getting ratings(it is not rating well at all) and making money, and a boy & girl finals will rate better than  an all boys final.

I do think that she is a final 3 contender, without the immunity pin.

I heard in another forum that Nathan had to leave the show for family reason, and they advertised for a replacement. It could be just a rumour though.

I don't see how it would be fair to bring in someone this late in the game, who might then go on to win. *shrug*

I am happy Sarah won too.

And I don't think it's because she is a girl.

I knew Sarah will win when Matt said the winner will be decided by how they performed in the kitchen. She was really good in kitchen yesterday.

Re: masterchef the professionals

I think I am just very cynical about this show. 🙂

After watching the last few seasons of MC, and seeing weak cooks survive week after week whilst better cooks were eliminated, I no longer believe that skill is the sole determinant of success on this show.

This show is a business, and they will do what they can to make it a success. With only just 2 girls remaining versus 6 boys, the show is currently very unbalanced. And that is why I think that the show desperately needs have a girl in finals week - so Bonny would have been awarded the immunity had she been representing the girls instead of Sarah.

I think Bonny will be kept in the show a bit longer, even though she is one of the worst of the current crop, so it doesn't appear to be an all boys show.

Everything that we see on this show is manipulated for the sole purpose of making the show a success. That's my belief. 🙂

I miss Cassie. 😞

I miss Cassie. 😞

Me too.

I wish she didn't do that badly that day. I'm pretty sure Marco didn't want to let her go. but there was no choice as she did so badly. I think she wasn't herself that day.

I see what you are saying about keeping girls. And I agree with you. But I think Sarah is a really good chef even though she doesn't stand out like Cassie did.

enjoyed the show last night, Luke knew he was in trouble from the start without enough reinvention.  They seem to punish lack of creativity and reinvention, above one that is original but is a disaster in those reinvention challenges.  Seems bravery will get you everywhere, even if you put up a crappy tasting dish lol, as evidenced by bonny and rhett.

Following up that horrible pork roulade thing in the team challenge, with this, Luke seemed to be struggling lately and relying too much on his spanish style and tastes.

It was funny to see them in the bottom two together, after the tension between them the previous challenge, and the berating Rhett gave him last week about his canope.

Rhett is arrogant, but he provides some great entertainment value.  Sometimes I think their personalities and ratings pull is more important than their cooking

nathan seems to be flying under the radar.

They keep leaving bones in their dishes, you would think as professionals that is a basic mistake which shouldn't happen.

Sarah was a brave girl not using the pin, she backed her abilities and managed to pull it off.  huge advantage now for her.

Re: masterchef the professionals

When the judges were giving their negative opinions of his dish during the tasting, I thought that Luke was going to start crying and bring up another sob story in order to remain in the game. But he held it together, and got eliminated. Had he gone for the Oscar and bawled, he would have been safe.

I like how the "professionals" go into amateur mode and clap like wide-eyed groupies whenever a 'superstar' chef enters the kitchen. Did you see the promo for next week? Bonnie goes full gaga over Curtis Stone, who apparently has never owned a restaurant. That guy is famous for being famous. Amateur and junior cooks can go crazy over a 'superstar' chef, but professionals and head chefs? Quite funny to watch. :^O

Yep, Rhett is arrogant, but highly entertaining, just like Cameron.
