quiting smoking

Have been a 20 pack a day smoker

For nearly 40 years and stopped cold turkey

On Monday

So have made it 4 days without a smoke

Feel like I am going crazy

And don't want to go near a shop for a while

Until I feel safe to avoid the impulse to buy

A packet

Not easy that's for sure

Re: quiting smoking

Hi opmania.  Happy 9 smoke free days and $135.00 richer.  Bet your grandchildren think you are nicer to be around

now than having that cigarette smoke on you.   One day at a time.. you are doing very well.  You go girl.

It took me 15 years  to finally beat the addiction, if I failed I never stopped trying and I never lost hope. I got help from my doctor and champix.

I do not have a problem with smokers, I have not turned into a smoking nazi and there's just been a report published in America that there is no evidence that passive smoke harms anybody.

Re: quiting smoking

Oh, forgot......I bought the book I wanted, so thanks for the kind offer joono but I'm right now.  It has about 500 pages ( it's a new edition with a bit of extra info) I started reading it today, and will take a few days to read.  I'll post the day before I plan to quit.

With money I save in the first week, I plan on buying one of those beautiful but quite expensive candles so my home will smell devine (and hopefully I will smell much better too hahaha).
