Have been a 20 pack a day smoker
For nearly 40 years and stopped cold turkey
On Monday
So have made it 4 days without a smoke
Feel like I am going crazy
And don't want to go near a shop for a while
Until I feel safe to avoid the impulse to buy
A packet
Not easy that's for sure
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hmm, does drinking booze count ??
I've attacked the table with string/double sided tape and it still tilts.....I'll ask the mowing man on Wed to have a look at it. It's probably something really simple and I'm just not seeing it lol

Try not to be too worried about lapsing a little soulart ... that was just the first round, and it means you have what it takes to start the process again when the time is right, you'll see, it will work for you ...

Don't be too hard on yourself. It's not a 'back to square one' disaster, just a minor hiccup along the way. You're still five weeks healthier than you were before you started.

So sorry to hear that you are now confronting health issues re smoking. Did I hear you mention harvesting? that is another danger to lungs or it was in the old days.
Hope you are OK and keep your chin up.

So true oppy, it's an addiction that is exactly like alcoholism and you can slip back so easily.
One ciggie and your hard work is destroyed but never give up, failure is a good thing because you are trying. My strength came from my mind and kept me headed toward freedom, freedom from addiction.
So sorry to hear about your ex.

Thanks
Was a long time ago
But I still think of him
My granddaughter asked me why people die when her
Great Grand mother passed away
I said old people have to die to make way for young people
And babies
I said imagine a world where old people never died
There would be really old people everywhere
And that would be a bit creepy don't you think
She said yes nana lol

One ciggie and your hard work is destroyed,
Please don't think like that. One cigarette is simply one cigarette and one packet is only one packet. It doesn't have to destroy everything - it doesn't mean you have failed.. If you have been a week, a month, a year without smoking, you have proved you can do it and nobody can take that achievement away from you. All you need now is to to it again - and again. And don't try to look into the future; when you get up in the morning you only have to stop yourself from smoking for that day.
