quiting smoking

Have been a 20 pack a day smoker

For nearly 40 years and stopped cold turkey

On Monday

So have made it 4 days without a smoke

Feel like I am going crazy

And don't want to go near a shop for a while

Until I feel safe to avoid the impulse to buy

A packet

Not easy that's for sure

Re: quiting smoking

Thanks joono xxx

I might make myself some worry beads and try to grab them instead.....can't really think of anything else.

I've been trying to stay busy, bought a bed table from Aldi, like the type in hospital, so I can use it for drawing or the tablet, making stuff etc and I can wheel it wherever I want but........I can't get the bugga together hahahaa

Anyone buy one and have any idea how to make the tray top bit lock in place ?  I don't know if its me or the table lol

Re: quiting smoking

But is it the same table - Welby?

Did you check the list of bits before you started?

Maybe they forgot to put in that bit?

Otherwise - dunno  -   shrug.gif

Re: quiting smoking

Luckily for me, I gave up years ago.

My daughter bought a flatpack dining setting with FOUR chairs. Instructions you say?

I did drop a few choice words but I did not reach for a smoke.

Soul, I used to 'smoke' a pencil or pen.

Re: quiting smoking

If it moves and it's not supposed to  - use cable ties and/or duct tape

If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use WD40

Re: quiting smoking

Hi tttt, a pencil hey ?  I'll see how I go when I make the worry beads and if they don't work, give your idea a go, thanks

duct tape stawka......well, I think that would work as I want it to stay straight (for my cuppa etc). will have one more go at it, then duct tape it is !!!!

Re: quiting smoking

I prefer MacGyver-ing things when they get old - not new.

The solution is there, you just have to think about it

Drink water instead of sucking on something.

It'll also help to clean out your system  big grin smiley.gif

Re: quiting smoking

I agree. Sucking on something is not ideal...but still better than lighting up.

Water and I believe eating an apple can help.
