I'm not a 'career person'.  I don't have any kids - I never wanted any.  I didn't think I'd make a good parent anyway.

If people want to have one kid or twenty that's up to them.....but at the same time they shouldn't think they are superior to those who choose to remain childless.  I've struck a few that think they are.  Pfftt.

My daughter has made the same choice as you for much the same reasons and I think she was very wise to recognise what was right for her.

I have 5, they all turned out great.

We are allowed to have as many as we want, some people choose none, others choose a number, some should choose 0........................

Not true, some days I like some less than others..... but most days I love them all alike.

I read recently that someone said it was selfish to not have children............ I find it hard to recognise that train of thought, I think I was selfish to have them. I wanted them.

I don't think people are selfish to not want children. I applaud their self recognition.
I do think sometimes people can behave selfishly if that don't have someone else to consider all the time. My BiL is a case in point. His life thinking certainly changed when they had their first child when he was 52. He himself now recognises that he has to be a lot less selfish in his thinking.

Now Bob, you know I feel strongly about personal freedom, I wouldn't endorse a law preventing it, but i also don't endorse having children half hazardly. Lets just say I wouldn't oppose a law, like a one child policy as much as i would, say, a law restricting, or banning gun ownership.

I believe that every woman should have a chance at one child. so i would strongly oppose a no child policy, however, for some including myself, nature imposes that law, and in this case, i oppose nature.

I strongly oppose having female pets fixed before they have a chance to reproduce at least once.
