Looking at some of the bogan single child bearers around,
I can well believe it.

It depends whether we are talking emotionally or biologically.

Totally agree.   So too, paying the bills doesn't make someone a good father.

Good parenting requires effort and hard work.  And of course lots n lots of love.

Biologically they are a child bearer, whether they become a mother is another matter.

God you get some irresponsible women out there who have had kids but just don't seem to take responsibility.

And I'm not talking about those with problems like Psych or Depression,
I am talking about perfectly intelligent people who have a weird idea of what is OK.

ie Leaving a 7 year old (and up) at home alone while she goes out on the town to a nightclub with her girlfriends.
Letting an 11 year old smoke.
And numerous other things.

and what is even worse is the deadbeat baby daddies - like little worker bees, hopping from bogan flower to bogan flower pollinating as many as he can without ever taking responsibility for them

I have 3 adult kids, and apart from a lovely wife of over 30 years, they're the best things in my life!

Pains in the a#$@ at times, but I'd NEVER be without 'em!

Mind you, as Bob intimated, some don't deserve to be parents. My son's just gotten engaged a fantastic girl, an only child, and some of the things she's endured from her parents just blows me away!

No physical abuse mind you, but plenty of neglect and psychological torment - yet she's grown into a truly wonderful person, who already regards us as mum and dad - and I'm proud to call her daughter!
