What if it's your step daughter/son?
Unless it was a tonguey, no
What if your step mother/Step dad is Jennifer Love Hewit /Matthew Mcconaughey?
What is your point? How does a celebrity have any bearing on what you have posted?
Please get a life.

It just goes to show the power social media trolls have over some people. They make sick and disgusting comments to incite negative responses because it makes them feel like they're somebody. Yet still, it prompts a thread on a chat board to question whether it is wrong for a father to kiss his 9 year old daughter on the lips. Unbelievable. I am confident that the majority of fathers would be sickened by the comments and the knowledge that somebody was so taken by the article that they followed it up on a chat site. Power to the trolls, hey?

The innuendos are subtle and concealed, but obvious. Not sure where they are coming from!

My oldest child is in his 60's, we still kiss each other on the lips when we see each other. That's how my family is too, like yours, we express our affection physically and with words and actions. I think bob could use some help.

When I was very young I had to kiss my parents good night before I went to bed and it was generally on the lips.
At some point when I was a bit older (I honestly can't remember when) it became a peck on the cheek instead.
By my teens I would have gladly given up this tradition....truthfully I'm just not the affectionate type....but on one occasion I skipped it (or tried to) only to have my angry father get me out of bed to at least go kiss my mother goodnight. Bleah.
Different customs mean in some cases kissing older kids on the lips is OK, in others it would not be seen as appropriate.
I would say no matter what kind of kissing tradition families have, it should not be considered compulsory.
I had to put up with it until I left home.
