"KICK THIS MOB OUT"

(I appreciate that the same heading has been posted by Nero but my subject matter is different)

So the front page of the Daily Telegraph screams this headline. Not as an article but as an Editorial. A nameless editorial of course.

The editorial mentions 4 reason to kick out Labor - the boats, the economy, the budget and then goes on to say Rudd needs to go because he is  "...leader of the government that attempted to intimidate  a free media into a docile, compliant silence.".

They aren't even bothering to hide their agenda and the real reason they want Labor out. Surely not all Australians are stupid enough to fall for this kind of propaganda? Or are they?

Whilst Aussies get all huffy about supermarkets cornering the market, how come this kind of media propaganda goes by without comment. Do people not realise they are being brainwashed? Do they think it is the writings of intelligent and thoughtful analysis?

If people are that dumb then they deserve who they vote for.

I know people that buy the telegraph that vote Labor.

Why is the author/reporter or whatever not named?

I was looking for the writers name against the article in the other thread and I just couldn't find one.  It's disgraceful.

Because Joono, Murdoch has brought in Col Allan to run the editorial for his papers until the election is over. If Col Allen put his name to the editorial it would be even more obvious what a farce it all is.

As I predicted in my last thread on the subject, things are going to get mighty ugly from Murdoch media in the next how ever many weeks.

And there are suckers out there who are lapping it up. Go figure!

You're a funny girl, 'tini. Are you cross about the media's blatant agenda, or because you think it's untrue?

A lot of people would probably agree.

Who likes the idea of politicians supressing free media? It sound so fascist.

ALL Australians?   Who says ALL Australians will fall for this kind of propoganda?

I think the elections will show that many millions will not.   And if they do they may not call it

propoganda.  Not everyone thinks it is and many can think for themselves.

Re: "KICK THIS MOB OUT"

Icy - my opinion of the low level some media in this country has sunk has less to do with my political affliliations than it does for the outrage I feel that we accept what the Daily Telegraph has dished up over the last however many months.

As mentioned just now on media watch, what is of main concern is that 2/3 of Australias newspapers are now screamingly biased and we are allowing  us to be swayed by one mans opinion.

Do you seriously believe that this is an acceptable state of how the majority of Australians should read their news? Is that how you want to hear your news - one sided, bullyish and with hidden agendas?

Re: "KICK THIS MOB OUT"

Short memories seem to be the case with labor supporters and especially the ones on here..

DAILY TELEGRAPH Why we’re supporting Kevin Rudd

from 2007 for the people on here with short term memory or alzheimer's or political amnesia or all of the listed....

David Penberthy –,Thursday, November, 22, 2007,(4:18pm)

The Daily Telegraph has formally declared its support for an ALP government and Kevin Rudd for Prime Minister of Australia.

Daily Telegraph Editor David Penberthy will blog live on Friday 23 November at 11am to answer your questions.
Previous David Penberthy blogs her......

THIS is an unusual editorial in that it praises the leadership and legacy of our current prime minister—and calls for him to be removed.

The Daily Telegraph believes Kevin Rudd should be the next prime minister of Australia.

We believe Australia has been lucky to have been led by John Howard for the past 11 years.

But we now believe Mr Howard has reached his use-by date—if for no other reason than he almost believes it himself.

Our three-year federal terms are short enough without a candidate for prime minister making a vague promise to walk away half-way through.

The 18-month to two-year construction Mr Howard has put on his departure is, bluntly, an insult to the voters’ collective intelligence.

And as far as 'free speech' is concerned, lets not forget what the bill was supposed to do. God forbid that we should introduce standards of professionalism for journalism in this country aye?

And I agree that it is often difficult to realise when you are brainwashed. So I find your comment  Who likes the idea of politicians supressing free media? It sound so fascist. amusing considering that this is Andrew Bolts headline on the issue: How dare these new fascists suppress our free speech? (Sun Herald July 17 2012)

Here are some good tips to avoid brainwashing:http://paidtoexist.com/avoid-brainwashing/

Perhaps the Telegraph readers (and those that continue to C&P propaganda rubbish)  should pay particular note to point number 1.
