We need more understanding. Religious people are merely victims of brain-washing and indoctrination. Challenge the idea/doctrine not the people.
Discuss.

BTW, Jesus was not born on the 25th December.

And he was not even born in year 0. Apparently he was born more like 5 B.C. LOL And as most what has been written about him was written 60+ years later, who knows what is true. But there is some evidence that man named Jesus did live in that time.

What annoys me is the so called Biblical experts. They study at theology school. They get degrees in ministry. They write books and make movies.Yet they could not get the simple things correct. The BIBLE tells us when Jesus was born.It was in what we call 6AD.6 years later than they say.Not 5BC not 0 but 6AD and the Bible shows this clearly.

I think you are a coward. You come here and bait people and attack Christians on a regular basis. Then when you are asked a question and asked for evidence you run.You ignore and run.So what do I think?I think you are a fairly low human being.

Sorry - I just had to put my two bob's worth in here, even though as one who respects the Christmas tradition,(although not the religious connotations), I didn't want to mar anyone else's festivities.
But some things just need to be addressed.
You stated that Biblical scholars spend years at their studies, training, interacting with other experts in their field of expertise, writing dissertations to be peer-reviewed by their contemporaries, and yet still get your messiah's birthdate wrong - and yet you have managed to discover something that none of the thousands upon thousands of scholars, worldwide have been able to do!
Congratulations!
Why you are stuck on an insignificant little forum such as this beggars belief! Why aren't you challenging the collectively accepted theories with those who matter - rather than here? It all seems so pointless.
Seriously...just take a moment to pause and think. Really think. There are in excess of 30,000 christian denominations around the world, every one as fervent as you in their biblical beliefs, but curiously, each and every one interprets their bible just a little differently. A word here, a paragraph there. But still markedly different.
So why do you believe that your interpretation is the one true and correct version?
Could it be that it's because its what you really want to believe? Could it be the effect of your parental/ social upbrininging?
Could it be due to the particular version of your faith that you subscribe to?
I don't for a moment doubt the sincerity of your claim, or your absolute faith in it - what I do question, is the validity of faith - versus sound reason.
Faith. A belief without evidence.
But, after all that - have a happy festive season!

Faith. A belief without evidence.

Why do I believe my interpretation is correct? It is not my interpretation. It is what the Bible says.
Lets take Good Friday for a start.
The Bible says clearly Jesus was not in the tomb on Sunday morning. So therefore He either rose Sunday morning or He rose in the last parts of the Sabbath.Either way Friday could not have been the day of crucifixion. He said 3 days and 3 nights.Do the maths and tell me He was crucified on a Friday. They could not get that correct. The Bible says CLEARLY that there were 2 Sabbaths that week.1 was the normal saturday sabbath. The other was PASSOVER! He was crucifed THURSDAY just as the Bible says.
Now lets take the Book of Malachi.
Chapter 3 verse 1.
1Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
EVERY Bible college and school teaches that this messenger is John the Baptist.Read the whole chapter and tell me if this sounds like the First Coming or the Second Coming.
CLEARLY it is a second coming prophecy. On top of that let's ask John the Baptist.
He stated "For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight"
John NEVER said He was spoken of by Malachi but by Isaiah.
CLEARLY they got that wrong.
Now lets look at the word LUCIFER! LUCIFER is a Latin COMMON NOUN.It has no place in the Bible but these so called scholars turned it into a PROPER NOUN and the name of the devil.Let us ask Jesus what the name of the devil is.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
He does not say CALLED THE DEVIL SATAN AND LUCIFER! LUCIFER means LIGHT BEARER and was put there by error or on purpose to deceive.
They CLEARLY got this wrong.
Now let us look at the date of His birth.
Matthew 2
1Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
So based on that these so called scholars and experts in their Bible colleges teaCH THAT jESUS WAS BORN IN THE REIGN OF HEROD THE GREAT.
Lets read on though.
Luke 2.
1And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
So Luke says He was born when Cyrenius was Governor.
The ONLY time Cyrenius was Governor when anyone was in the house of Herod was what we call 6AD.HEROD ARCHELAU was King.
Mathew 2.
But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
Joseph got scared when he heard Archealus was King even though he was warned in a dream not to be scared.WHY?Because whoever told him obviously had not yet heard that Archealus was gone. Why was Joseph scared when he heard Archealus was King?BECAUSE it was Archealus that initially sent the decree to kill Jesus.
CLEARLY they got this wrong also.
You ask why I am on a forum(s) and not teaching this and challenging them?Because they REFUSE to debate through pride. They are shown to be wrong on simple things and run.
Lastly you ask why I believe this.Because the BIBLE says this. The Bible is mistranslated in key places and can be clearly shown but they make money from teaching the nonsense and cannot admit to being wrong even when proved.
Take the nonsense of THE ANTICHRIST person who will walk the earth etc etc etc.ALL NONSENSE and provable nonsense but they make books and movies and build minitries on it.They wont listen because they claim to know it all.
